this weekend i took some vorticism project pictures. it was pretty easy for me because i really enjoy taking photos of machinery and silhouettes and whatnot. I hope this project goes well for me, because so far it is one of my favorites. The tutorials were pretty awesome, and everything was pretty easy for me.

update me

this weekend i worked on getting some photos of machinery, as well as silhouettes. Unfortunately i didnt end up getting any pictures, but it definitely crossed my mind once or twice. i'm excited for this project because i enjoy taking pictures of machinery and everything of the sort. it's probably my favorite thing to photograph.

i was contacted personally by mr.lawler and was asked to take some photos of him for his portfolio. I immediatley accepted this once in a lifetime offer, in hopes for the outcome of some great looking photos. This was one of my favorite results. i really love the background and contrast it gives to his shirt. I think what makes this picture stand out more, is the bold serious look on his face. let me know what you think!

update me:

this past week we have been learning about vorticism and silhouettes. i like learning about this topic because taking pictures of machinery and shadows is something that i enojy doing. i think this will be one of the more favorite projects i will have done this year. Learning more about vorticism will help me take better photos once the time comes to take them.

this was one of my favorite photos that i made from my surrealism project. i like this photo because the combined two pictures make it look pretty weird, but cool at the same time. I like the fact that the icicle's were black and the second photo i overlayed was white. It looks sort of like a negative, and has kind of a creepy effect overall. Let me know what you think!

update.

lately i've been working on my surrealism project and trying to understand what to do on my capstone. The capstone project has kind of confused me, and it's been hard for me to choose a certin topic and theme to follow. I liked the surrealism project because it gave me a chance to do something way out of my comfort zone, as well as try something different. Though i wouldnt really want to do it again, i liked trying it and thought that my photos came out fairly well.

this is a photo i took over break for my smoke project. i think it came out pretty good for using a non-flourescent light. My favorite part of this photo is how the smoke came out because it almost looks like it's fake. let me know what you think!
